What surprised me most
What surprised me most was seeing the dynamic that the elementary school students has with each other, they were all friendly with one another and made sure that everyone was included eventhough they were all from different grades.
My greatest learning came from
I learned the most from the other mentors that led the programs with me as most of them have led these programs before, so they taught me the best way to lead the students.
If I did this again I would
If I did this program again I would feel more confidant as I would already know what to expect.
The skills I will value the most post university are
- Communication with a variety of studetns from different ages
- Learning to lead interviews
- Taking notes from interviews, and how to write interview summary's
- Learning how to make lesson plans
- How to be a pillar of support
